Every Indian enterprise that extends credit to a distributor, onboards a supplier or sells to a B2B buyer on open terms is making a counterparty risk decision. In 2026 the tooling for that decision has split into very different products that all claim to do "due diligence". Some give you a company profile. Some verify a GSTIN through an API. Some run a full third-party onboarding workflow. A few try to answer the question credit teams actually care about: should we do business with this entity, and how much exposure can we take?
This guide ranks the platforms we think matter most for vendor due diligence in India, explains the four categories they fall into, and gives you a checklist and a list of red flags to use in any vendor evaluation. Every vendor description is based on what that company states on its own website or in reputable press coverage. We have not included pricing or performance metrics we could not verify.

CarmaOne publishes this list. We ranked our own product, CARMA Assess, first and explain why below, so read that entry with that in mind. Product scope changes often: check each vendor's website before you shortlist. Last reviewed November 2026.
The Four Categories of Vendor Diligence Tools
Most bad buying decisions in this space come from comparing products across categories as if they were the same thing. Before ranking anyone, it helps to separate them.
- Company data aggregators. These collect public filings, mainly from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), and present them as searchable company profiles: directors, charges, financial statements, shareholding. They are good for research and a quick company due diligence report. The analysis is still yours to do.
- KYB verification APIs. These confirm that a business is who it says it is: GSTIN valid, CIN active, Udyam registration genuine, signatories match. This is KYB (Know Your Business) in the narrow sense. They are built for onboarding flows and return pass/fail or structured data. They do not tell you whether to extend credit.
- Third-party risk management (TPRM) suites. These run the full onboarding process for suppliers and partners: document collection, background checks, field verification, risk tiering and approvals. Procurement and compliance teams buy them.
- Credit-decision diligence platforms. These combine several data sources (GST, bureau, bank statements, MCA, litigation) and cross-check them to produce a risk verdict and an exposure recommendation. Credit and receivables teams buy them for counterparty risk assessment.
A procurement team clearing 2,000 low-value suppliers a year needs a different tool from a credit team setting a credit line for a new distributor. Many organisations end up with one tool from two categories. For definitions, see our glossary entry on vendor due diligence.

The Ranking, Platform by Platform
1. CarmaOne: CARMA Assess
Category: credit-decision diligence. CARMA Assess is our vendor and credit diligence platform. It combines 13 core data engines, including GST, MCA, credit bureau, statutory and litigation records, and bank statements. It cross-checks them and returns one verdict with a risk rating, red flags and a recommended exposure, in under 5 minutes. It is built for enterprises assessing vendors, distributors and B2B buyers, for insurers underwriting trade credit, for SMEs checking counterparties, and for lenders.
Why we ranked it first: most tools on this list answer one question: is this entity real, or what has it filed? CARMA Assess is designed to answer the decision question by checking sources against each other. Healthy GST filings combined with frequent bank bounces, or a clean company with a promoter linked to struck-off entities, are the contradictions single-source checks miss. Our guides on GST reconciliation red flags and bank statement analysis explain that logic in more detail.
Where it is not the right fit: if you only need a GSTIN check in a sign-up form, or a manual field visit to a supplier's factory, a KYB API or a TPRM services firm will suit you better.
2. Dun & Bradstreet India
Category: business information and supplier risk. According to its website, D&B India offers Supplier Risk Management and Risk Analytics Supplier Intelligence for procurement teams, Finance Analytics (described as an AI-driven credit management platform), D&B Direct for Finance (an API for risk and financial data), and Early Warning Signals, which it says provides "100+ structured alerts". It also lists a KYC/KYB compliance intelligence product. D&B is the broadest established name here, and a strong fit for large corporates running global supplier programmes. Indian SME-level depth on GST and bank-statement behaviour is something to test in a pilot.
3. Accumn (formerly Corpository)
Category: credit decisioning on corporate data. Corpository built a following among corporate lenders for its Indian company information. Business Today reported in August 2024 that Yubi Group combined its acquisitions Corpository and FinFort under a new identity, Accumn, positioned as an AI-powered credit decisioning platform covering the lifecycle from lead generation to post-disbursement monitoring. Directory profiles of Corpository describe access to public sources including MCA, court records and tribunals. If you have searched for Corpository, Accumn is where that product now sits. It is a good fit for banks and NBFCs doing corporate and mid-market lending. Confirm current product scope directly, because the company's public site shares little detail.
4. Probe42
Category: company data aggregator. According to its website, Probe42 offers Banking, Business and API products and draws on validated public-domain sources cleaned by a QA team. It targets banks and NBFCs, plus business teams researching clients, vendors and competitors. It is a solid choice for structured Indian company data (financials, charges, legal information) when your analysts or your own scorecard will make the decision.
5. Perfios (including Karza)
Category: KYB verification APIs. Perfios acquired Karza Technologies in 2022. Its KYC/KYB product page lists entity verification across GST, MCA signatories, Udyam registration, FSSAI and other registries, plus AML, UBO and PEP compliance checks, MCA document access, and a single-API MSME onboarding flow. It is one of the deepest KYB verification stacks in India for digital onboarding. It is a data and verification layer: you still need a decision layer on top if you are setting credit limits.
6. IDfy
Category: KYB plus merchant and business diligence. IDfy's merchant and business due diligence page lists MCA, GST, FSSAI and Udyam checks, GST turnover and compliance signals, ITR pattern analysis, court records and eFIRs, AML/PEP hits, links to dissolved entities, and fraud-cluster detection. It also describes continuous monitoring of MCA status, litigation and business dormancy. It fits marketplaces, payments companies and FMCG distribution networks onboarding large numbers of small partners.
7. AuthBridge
Category: TPRM suite and verification services. AuthBridge positions its vendor verification offering for procurement and compliance teams, with a 360-degree view across financial, compliance, legal and reputational risk, risk tiering, and pan-India field verification. A December 2023 press release announced OnboardX, described as a no-code platform for end-to-end third-party onboarding and risk management. This is the most complete fit for third party risk management software in India when physical verification and an approval workflow matter more than a credit number.
8. Tofler
Category: company data aggregator. According to its website, Tofler's data is sourced from official government filings, including MCA. It offers financial statements, ratio analysis, side-by-side comparisons, a Tofler Score, and Excel/PDF exports. It names credit, procurement, sales, investor and compliance teams as users and mentions enterprise APIs. It is quick and accessible for a first look at a private limited company. Treat it as research input, not a verdict.
9. CRIF High Mark (commercial credit reports)
Category: commercial credit bureau. CRIF High Mark is an RBI-licensed credit information company. According to its website, its company credit report records a business entity's borrowing history and credit facilities, alongside a commercial credit score designed to predict the probability of default over the next 12 months. A bureau report is the most authoritative business credit report in India for repayment behaviour. Access depends on who you are: lenders get it as bureau members, while a business can request its own report. Procurement teams usually reach this data through a lender, a partner platform or the counterparty's consent.
Also considered: Signzy lists KYB, UBO checks and ongoing monitoring, but its public KYB material is largely framed around US and global use cases. We could not confirm India-specific business checks from it. Zaubacorp is widely used for free MCA-based company lookups and is useful for a first look, but it is not a diligence workflow.
How to Choose: A Buyer's Checklist
Use this list in vendor demos. Ask each platform to run your own sample of 20 to 30 known counterparties, including a few you know went bad.
- Define the decision first. Are you approving onboarding, setting a credit limit, pricing trade credit or monitoring an existing book? That decides the category before it decides the vendor.
- List the sources you need checked against each other. GST, MCA, bureau, bank statements and litigation each catch different fraud. One source checked alone is easy to game.
- Ask for the output format. Raw data, a PDF report, a score or a verdict with recommended exposure? Your team's capacity to interpret raw data should drive this.
- Check monitoring cadence. A vendor approved in March can deteriorate by September. Ask how often counterparties are re-checked and what triggers an alert.
- Confirm consent and data handling. Bureau data and bank statements need the counterparty's consent. Ask how consent is captured and recorded, and where data is stored.
- Test unlisted MSMEs. Most of your risk sits in proprietorships, partnerships and small private companies with thin filings. Make sure coverage holds up there, not only for listed companies.
- Check integration. APIs, bulk upload and ERP/procurement connectors, and how long go-live really takes.
- Ask who in your organisation will use it. Procurement, credit and finance often buy separate tools for the same counterparties. One shared view reduces duplicate checks.
If you are evaluating tools for lending rather than procurement, our ranking of credit underwriting software in India and our credit underwriting overview cover that side.
Red Flags When Evaluating a Platform
- "Verified" with no explanation of what was checked. A green tick on a GSTIN only proves the registration exists. It says nothing about turnover, filing regularity or who controls the entity.
- One data source presented as a full assessment. An MCA-only report will not show bank bounces. A bureau-only view will not show related-party trading.
- No answer on stale data. Ask when each field was last refreshed. MCA financials can be a year or more old by the time you read them.
- Scores without reasons. If the platform cannot show which signals drove a rating, your credit committee and auditors will not accept it.
- Metrics you cannot check. Claims of accuracy or default rates with no method behind them should be tested on your own sample.
- No monitoring after onboarding. Diligence done once at onboarding misses most of the risk, because counterparties change.
Bottom Line
For pure verification at onboarding, Perfios and IDfy are strong KYB layers. For procurement-led third-party programmes with field checks, AuthBridge and D&B are the established choices. For research, Probe42 and Tofler give fast access to company filings, and CRIF High Mark remains the reference for commercial repayment history. If your real question is "how much credit can we safely extend to this counterparty, and will we know when that changes?", a credit-decision platform is the category to evaluate, and that is why we built CARMA Assess.
